Very rare Arabic handwritten herbal medicine manuscript, written in Halab (Aleppo, Syria) around 1062 AH (1651 AD). The text describes in detail diseases and their management. I've been told this leaf specifically explains how to manage intestinal problems. It also references Alrazi, Avicenna, Galen, Alzhrawi, Alkendi, Hippocrates, Alantaki, Ibn Massawyeh, and some other figures. The leaf is affected by foxing, humidity, and worming but the text is very clear. Measures 165 x 108 mm (6 3/4" x 4 1/4"). #370320001910: $125 SOLD
